Engineering Associate Director

The Engineering Associate Director will provide engineering leadership and support to global Operations with a main focus on end-of line processes (includes:
cleaning, biological upgrade, packaging and sterilization). This individual will lead a team of engineers to provide problem solving and validation support to Zimmer Biomet's Global Operations network Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide engineering and validation support to the global operations network. Communicate best end-of-line operating practices to the global operations network. Perform training as necessary. Hire, train, and lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers. Provide support to the installation of new equipment and processes. Evaluate new end-of-line manufacturing technologies. Develop and ensure adherence to departmental and project budgets. Develop and ensure adherence to Engineering project plans. Participate in global Quality remediation and CAPA activities as necessary. Actively support both internal and notified body quality audits globally. Perform plant and Process tours as required. Expected Areas of Competence Subject matter expert in process validations Project planning expertise Experience in orthopedic implant cleaning processes. Knowledge of medical device quality systems Basic knowledge of statistics Experience creating and reviewing engineering specifications Experience leading teams of hourly and salaried employees in an accountable and collaborative fashion. Ability to develop and represent departmental strategies and initiatives cross-functionally and to Executive Leadership. Education/Experience Requirements A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science and a minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience including 3 or more years in the direct management of group/team. $150K -- $200K
